I'm not saying "I'm not like other girls," but when I was a kid, my friendship with my cousin led to some pretty nerdy interests. Namely, Star Wars. I wasn't allowed to own Barbie dolls, so his collection of Star Wars action figures was the next best thing. We'd watch the movies over and over again, pretend we could play the cantina song with various shampoo bottles, and compete over who could do "better" at "vintage" Star Wars games like Dark Forces, Yoda Stories, or X-Wing - all of which my father had purchased for himself at Costco.

My obsession with Star Wars has died a bit since then. I'm no longer stealing Star Wars books from my middle school library, and I certainly don't own any mint-condition collectibles. But I've stayed with the universe in ways that make sense for me: by watching Andor and other brilliant Star Wars series, and by constantly scrolling through the memes created by thousands of internet-minded fans. Memes that riff on our beloved Star Wars shows and movies; memes like these.
